Brigade Enters Coimbatore With ₹600-Crore Saravanampatti Project as Premium Housing Draws Developers

Brigade Enters Coimbatore With ₹600-Crore Saravanampatti Project as Premium Housing Draws DevelopersBrigade Enterprises Limited is entering Coimbatore with a 5.4-acre residential project in Saravanampatti, with an estimated gross development value of about ₹600 crore, covaimail reported in September 2026.

The Bengaluru-based developer will build the project under a joint development agreement in the city’s IT belt, which has access to SEZs, IT parks, colleges, malls and hospitals, the report said. Managing director Pavitra Shankar cited the city’s diversified economy, talent pool, social infrastructure and infrastructure investment pipeline as growth drivers. She said the company expects demand for quality real estate to accelerate as businesses, professionals and families arrive, according to the report.

The entry follows another launch by a local group. Covaipost reported in August 20261 that KG Group’s Town and City Developers launched United City, a residential project on EllaiThottam Road in Peelamedu.

Together, the announcements show developers positioning Coimbatore as a premium housing destination beyond the large metros. Brigade has operated in Tamil Nadu for more than a decade and has completed projects in Chennai, covaimail reported.

Who is affected

Buyers looking at Saravanampatti and Peelamedu will now have branded developer supply entering the market. Brigade did not give a launch date, unit mix or price band in the report, and those details are not yet available.

Asking prices in Coimbatore

Asking prices on PropertyWala put apartments for sale in Coimbatore at about ₹7,625 per sq ft (2026 Q1 to 2026 Q4), down 6.1% on the year before. Independent houses averaged about ₹8,472 per sq ft, up 34.4%, while residential land averaged about ₹3,671 per sq ft, up 37.4%.2

In Saravanampatti, apartments for sale averaged about ₹5,997 per sq ft (2024 Q2 to 2026 Q3), about 19.6% below the Coimbatore average. Independent houses there averaged about ₹9,261 per sq ft (2025 Q3 to 2026 Q3), up 23.8% on the year and about 38.4% above the city average.

Apartments account for the largest share of listings in Saravanampatti, followed by independent houses and residential land. Across the city, residential land and independent houses make up most listings.

Projects and connectivity

Saravanampatti has both ready and new-launch projects. The locality is about 10 km from Coimbatore International Airport and about 7 km from Peelamedu.

Road infrastructure remains a concern for the corridor. The New Indian Express reported in February 2026 that a flyover at Saravanampatti junction was dropped because the metro rail authority had not issued a no-objection certificate. The Hindu reported in August 2026 that Union road transport minister Nitin Gadkari promised a flyover at the junction.

What to watch

Brigade’s launch details, including pricing and possession, are the next markers for the segment. The Saravanampatti flyover and the Coimbatore metro rail proposal are also infrastructure developments to follow. AITUC urged the Centre to approve the proposal in October 2026, according to Dinamani.
