ULI India's annual flagship conference is back for a second year.

Influential professionals from India’s real estate, development, investments, urban planning, and built environment sectors are set to convene for a two-day conference, focusing on both opportunities and challenges. The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is entering its second year of operations, with ULI’s India National Council hosting its Annual Conference on February 21 and 22, 2022, at Mumbai’s iconic Taj Mahal Palace and Taj Lands End venue. The conference's agenda aims to address the pivotal theme of "21st Century Indian Cities" and will gather distinguished leaders from various realms of the built environment, including real estate, investments, urban planning, and the architectural design sectors.

The two-day event will kick off with a unique tour featuring the National Center for Performing Arts, Bombay House–Tata Experience Center, and Subko Cacao Mill, spotlighting notable case studies on adaptive reuse and heritage retrofits pertinent to the real estate industry. Following the tour, a series of illustrated keynotes and panel discussions will delve into critical subjects such as the need for equitable housing, sustainable planning in development, the impact of airports on new urban centers, and infrastructure as a catalyst for change. Also on the agenda are explorations of new real estate investment and operational frameworks, innovative residential practices, and the empowerment of women in the built environment.

Among the distinguished speakers and panellists are notable figures such as Amanpreet Bajaj (country lead of Airbnb India), Anuj Puri (chairman of ANAROCK), Asheesh Mohta (head of RE Acquisitions at Blackstone), and Ramesh Nair (CEO of Mindspace Business Parks REIT), among many others. Their insights promise to enrich the discussions during the conference.

The inaugural year of ULI’s India National Council has received substantial acclaim from key stakeholders in the built environment. Due to these successful strides, there is a demonstrated commitment to collaboration, transcending competitive boundaries. As Manasvini Hariharan, executive director of ULI India, articulated, "With the upcoming launches of new product councils and programs, we are determined to bring ULI’s global standard of thought leadership and research to India while showcasing India’s remarkable built environment to the international ULI audience."

In addition to the informative sessions, ULI India is set to unveil the Office Council, its inaugural product council, formed by a diverse and seasoned group of developers, owners, investors, and technical specialists, such as architects, engineers, and legal professionals. This exclusive cohort aims to engage in in-depth discussions within a secure environment centered around the market's current landscape, prevailing trends, best practices, innovative strategies, and invaluable lessons related to the office asset class's creation and management. The overall objective is to ignite new, confidential conversations among business executives, driving a transformative shift in how this asset class is designed, built, invested in, and managed.
