NHAI sanctions FOBs at Yekkur and Mukka on NH-66

NHAI has approved foot-over-bridges at Yekkur and Mukka, while NMPRCL has bid out ₹26.05 crore maintenance and overlay works on the Surathkal-B.C. Road corridor.

  • NHAI has sanctioned two foot-over-bridges on NH-66 in Mangaluru: one near the College of Fisheries at Yekkur and one near Srinivas Hospital at Mukka.
  • New Mangalore Port Road Company Limited (NMPRCL) has invited bids to develop and maintain a 37.472 km stretch of the national highways between Surathkal and B.C. Road at an estimated cost of ₹26.05 crore.
  • The project scope includes:
  • overlaying 11.084 km between Surathkal and Padil via Kuluru, Kuntikana and Nanthoor
  • carriageway cleaning
  • removal of rank vegetation
  • road property management and maintenance
  • road safety improvements
  • The Surathkal-B.C. Road stretch covers NH-66 from Surathkal to Nanthoor Junction and NH-73 from Nanthoor Junction to B.C. Road via Padil.
