Jaipur Development Authority rejected Buildcon Consultant Limited’s request to unseal unauthorized 12th-floor construction at Manglam Radiance on Tonk Road.
Key facts
The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) rejected Buildcon Consultant Limited’s application to unseal construction on the 12th floor of Tower A at Manglam Radiance, Tonk Road. The construction—a room and bathroom on the common terrace—violated the approved building map; a window of flat 1201 had also been converted into an entry gate to the sealed area.
JDA issued a notice on 20 December 2023 and sealed the construction on 3 August 2024 under Urban Development Department orders. The builder said the structure was temporary and intended for plantation, but JDA deemed the claim baseless. It said unsealing would privatize common terrace space and infringe other flat owners’ rights. More than seven months after the notice, the construction had not been removed.
