Rajkot Municipal Corporation is nearing completion of 1,010 EWS II homes in Railnagar under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, at a cost of over ₹119 crore. Facilities include rooftop solar, water and drainage connections, gas pipelines, lifts, rainwater harvesting, backup generators, fire-safety systems, a play area, anganwadi and shopping centre.

An international-standard sports complex is being developed in Ward No. 17 under Gujarat’s Urban Development Year 2025 initiative. A modern convention centre has received Central and State Government grants. A working women’s hostel is under construction in the Smart City area with ₹49 crore allocated.

A 50 MLD filter plant is planned at Nyara; a 342.72-lakh-litre underground sump and pump house are under construction. At Madhapar, 24.19 ML ground and 3 ML elevated service reservoirs are being developed for ₹31.75 crore, with pumping-station work ongoing.

At the Lion Safari Park, the compound wall, 5-metre chain-link fencing, animal night shelters, internal roads and an external inspection road are complete. Rajkot’s other development projects include Atal Sarovar, AIIMS, the International Airport and multiple flyovers.
