Lonavala is a hill station about 64 km away from Pune city and 96 km away from the Mumbai city. It is a major stop on the rail line connecting Mumbai and Pune by road. Lonavala is located almost midway of Mumbai - Pune expressway. Lonavala is blessed by nature as it has quite a few lakes and dams like Tungarli Lake, Parvna Lake, Valvan dam, Bhushi dam. Karla caves and Bhaja caves are interesting places to visit as they are surrounded by breath taking scenery and also provide an insight into Lonavala’s rich history.
