They cited land deeds (pattas), sanctioned building plans and earlier JDA eviction notices indicating an 80-foot road width. JDA issued the notices after a high court order to maintain the road’s width under the City Master Plan 2025.

JDA issued the notices under Section 72 of the JDA Act, 1982. Encroachers must remove the encroachments themselves within 15 days; otherwise, JDA will clear them and recover the costs. JDA has surveyed and marked the encroachments.
