PWD Starts Concrete Road Work From Six Number Naka to Pandhurli

Maharashtra’s PWD has begun white-topping Lam Road from Six Number Naka to Pandhurli, with widening planned where feasible ahead of Nashik’s 2027 Kumbh Mela.
Key facts
The state Public Works Department has begun laying a concrete layer on the road from Six Number Naka to Pandhurli to address rising traffic on Lam Road, which connects Nashik Road with Deolali Camp, Bhagur and villages up to Pandhurli. MLA Saroj Ahire said the work order had been issued and construction equipment was being mobilised. She said white-topping would be completed well before the Nashik and Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela, and the road would be widened wherever feasible. The Kumbh is set to begin next year, with the Shahi Snans scheduled for August-September 2027. Lam Road runs from Six Number Naka to Rest Camp Road in Deolali Camp.
