Nagpur Metro Phase 3 Adds 55 Kilometres Across Four Corridors

Nagpur Metro Phase 3 is planned to add about 55 km across four corridors, including a 25 km route along the Inner Ring Road.

Nagpur Metro Phase 3 is planned to span a tentative 54.5 km, making it the city’s largest planned expansion. MahaMetro confirmed the 25 km Inner Ring Road corridor from Mankapur Chowk to Rachana junction (Hingna T-point) will be included in the Detailed Project Report (DPR), after floating a tender to prepare it. Union minister Nitin Gadkari confirmed the inclusion at a press conference on Monday.

The other proposed corridors are:

  • Sitabuldi–Koradi: 11.5 km, to strengthen north–south connectivity.
  • MIDC ESR–CEAT Ltd: 3 km, for last-mile connectivity to the Butibori–MIDC industrial belt.
  • Khapri–New Nagpur: 15 km, linking the planned greenfield New Nagpur development with the existing metro network.

The four corridors together add about 55 km. Phase I and Phase II total nearly 84 km; with Phase 3, the network would reach approximately 129 km. The blueprint is part of the Comprehensive Mobility Plan approved in July 2025.
