Demolition for Bhopal Metro Rail Project Phase II continued along Berasia Road and Qazi Camp area. Nearly 260 affected families claimed they had not received compensation for displacement.

The administration stated more than 90% of eligible beneficiaries had already received compensation and shifting assistance.

Survey of 30.17-km Orange and Blue Line corridors identified 1,342 affected properties: 809 government-owned and 533 private. Of these, 1,218 structures are slated for complete demolition and 124 will be partially affected. The list includes 496 houses, 514 shops, 133 mixed-use buildings, 4 plots, 19 bus stops and 21 public toilets.

Government sanctioned Rs 446.87 crore for rehabilitation, with around Rs 300 crore already transferred to district administration.

Property owners are entitled to compensation based on land and structure valuation. Tenants receive a shifting allowance of approximately Rs 1 lakh.

Metro officials confirmed authorities are preparing a plan to relocate 34 religious structures along the metro alignment.

City Circle SDM said all eligible property owners with valid documents received compensation, and occupants of encroached structures were compensated for construction value.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated Govt Sandipani Thakur Lal Singh Higher Secondary School in Berasia on Sunday. The school cost Rs 50.74 crore and spans nearly 35 acres. It includes modern classrooms, laboratories, sports facilities and other academic infrastructure. CM Yadav announced that the Bhopal-Berasia road would be upgraded to a four-lane highway to support the region's growing development and improve connectivity. Yadav stated the school is part of Sandipani schools initiative to bridge educational gaps between rich and poor, providing quality education and facilities. The state government is working to align education with employment, skill development and entrepreneurship under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's direction.
