It is a happening town within the proximity of State Capital - the Kolkata. But since almost all the major companies have opened their outlet in the town itself, shopping freaks or people in need no more have to go to the city. There are several high quality nursing homes and competent schools are there. Multiplex is now running well. Lots of food joints, and religious places for the devotees of tongue and mind.
