PM Modi inaugurated the Majlis Park-Maujpur-Babarpur section of the Pink Line and the Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park stretch of the Magenta Line on Sunday, alongside laying foundation stones for development projects worth ₹33,500 crore in Delhi.

Pink Line: Extended to 71.56 kilometres, completing India's first fully operational "ring metro" around Delhi. Stations on this stretch: Burari, Jharoda Majra, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, Soorghat, Nanaksar-Sonia Vihar, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, Maujpur-Babarpur. Features a new bridge over the Yamuna and double-decker viaduct carrying metro track and road flyover. Strengthens connectivity between north-east and north-west Delhi.

Magenta Line: Extended to approximately 49 kilometres. Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park stretch includes seven elevated stations: Madhuban Chowk, Uttar Pitampura-Prashant Vihar, Haiderpur Village, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Bhalswa.

Foundation stones laid for three Phase 5(A) corridors: Central Vista corridor (9.913km underground, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg to Indraprastha), Golden Line extension to IGI Airport Terminal-1 (2.263km underground), Golden Line extension Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj (3.9km elevated). Expected to strengthen links to NCR cities: Noida, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh.

Foundation stones also laid for GPRA colonies redevelopment worth ₹15,200 crore. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta stated metro expansion improves public transport; 2025-26 budget prioritises public transport.
