Pettah–Anayara Road widening delayed to May 2026

Infrastructure project funded by Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) and executed by Kerala Road Fund Board (KRFB) at estimated cost of Rs 143.6 crore. Awarded May 2024 to Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) with 18-month timeline. Nearly Rs 98 crore spent acquiring land from 614 property owners, causing delays to physical work start. Project scope includes widening 2.4km stretch between Pettah and Venpalavattom (Stretch 1), 1.2km segment (Stretch 2), and constructing new 170-metre link road. Missed government's December 2025 deadline.
