Plan includes physical verification of properties, digital mapping and updation of land records across Delhi's 1,511 unauthorised colonies.

Scheme allows ownership, transfer, or mortgage rights based on General Power of Attorney, Agreement to Sell, proof of payment, and possession papers. So far, ownership rights granted to about 40,000 properties since PM-UDAY launch in October 2019. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced policy at joint press conference.
