- The collapse killed three workers: John Suresh Alex, 45; his son Immanuel J; and Samuel, 45. Twelve were injured, including nine identified in the report; eight were from Vellore and one from Bengaluru. Four were treated at Government Medical College Hospital, Adukkamparai, and five at CMC Ranipet; three others reportedly went to Chittoor for treatment. Injuries included hip and leg fractures and internal injuries.
- Church authorities had not applied online for construction permission. A show-cause notice ordered them to stop further work; the premises were barricaded and entry restricted, with police deployed. Officials said the premises could be sealed.
- Thiruvalam police registered a case against contractor John David, 49, under Section 106(1) of the BNS. He was not arrested and was being treated at Government Medical College Hospital, Adukkamparai.
- The collapse occurred between 3.30 pm and 4 pm; 28 rescue personnel took part.
