Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) collected ₹100.29 crore in property tax from 2,37,113 properties during the first four months of 2026-27, as taxpayers rushed to claim rebates before the July 31 deadline. By July 30, collections represented about 13.4% of the ₹749.82-crore annual demand: ₹222.96 crore in current dues and ₹526.85 crore in arrears. Collections comprised ₹72.75 crore in current taxes and ₹27.54 crore in arrears.

Under the general-body-approved incentive scheme, online payments by July 31 qualified for a 15% rebate and payments at civic facilitation centres for a 10% discount. Payments made after July 31 and by December 31 qualify for a 5% rebate. Eco-friendly properties with measures such as rainwater harvesting and rooftop solar can claim an additional green-policy rebate.

Laxmi Nagar led the 10 zones with ₹15.94 crore; Mangalwari followed at ₹14.
