Haryana Unveils Vision-2047 Urban Roadmap With 5,000-Acre Namo City
Indiatimes · · Infrastructure
Haryana’s Vision-2047 urban roadmap proposes a 5,000-acre Namo City, 24-hour water supply pilots in Gurugram and Faridabad, and an integrated civic services app.
Key facts
On June 30, 2026, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unveiled an urban development roadmap under the state’s Vision-2047 plan. It proposes a 5,000-acre greenfield Namo City along the KMP corridor, waste-to-energy plants and a pilot for 24-hour drinking water supply in Gurugram and Faridabad.
The proposed Integrated Super App would link citizens’ Property IDs and provide property tax and water-bill payments, civic complaint registration and tracking, senior citizen services and access to other government departments. Saini announced the plan at a review meeting of the urban local bodies department, with a focus on technology-driven governance, civic infrastructure and public services.
High Court Orders Sale of Unsold Plots to Fund Sunny Enclave Infrastructure
Hindustan Times · · Regulatory
The Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered unsold plots auctioned to fund overdue infrastructure in Sunny Enclave, with GMADA tasked with completing the work.
Key facts
The Punjab and Haryana High Court directed the Mohali deputy commissioner to auction a Mohali-based builder’s unsold properties within one month and use the proceeds for infrastructure in Sunny Enclave, Kharar, spread across 350 acres. The order followed petitions by the New Sunny Enclave Residents Social Welfare Association, other RWAs and individual allottees alleging essential works remained incomplete after more than 15 years. Thousands of buyers were affected by missing roads, drainage, electricity lines and parks. The properties are in Sectors 120, 123, 124 and 117, across Jandpur, Manana, Sihampur and Hassnapur villages. The chief secretary must form a three-auditor cell to assess outstanding work, estimate costs and monitor spending. GMADA will execute the work, which must be completed within four months. Remaining funds will pay the developer’s government charges; any surplus will go to the developer. The court rejected directing buyers to RERA, calling it an excessively prolonged remedy. The developer had undertaken to let GMADA complete some unfinished work in exchange for vacant plots.
