Guntur Commissioner Orders Strict Building Regulation Compliance

Guntur Municipal Commissioner conducted inspection at RTC Colony and issued strict directives for enforcing building rules and preventing construction violations.
Key facts
Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) commissioner K. Mayur Ashok conducted field inspection on Saturday at RTC Colony examining a building under construction that obtained permission through Development Permission Management System (DPMS). He issued clear instructions to town planning officials to ensure strict adherence to sanctioned plans.
Mandatory inspections required for DPMS-approved buildings with built-up area exceeding 500 square metres; random and surprise inspections also to be conducted on other constructions. Town planning officials directed to monitor works at every stage and ensure compliance with all approvals and conditions.
No proposal will be granted deemed approval. All applications must be scrutinised within 15 working days with deficiencies promptly communicated for rectification. Payment of fees, provision of open spaces, setbacks and greenery must strictly conform to approved plans. Planning secretaries and Town Planning Supervisors held responsible for enforcement.
With Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) deadline extended, City Planner instructed to create awareness among licensed technical persons and builders regarding post-deadline action against unauthorised layouts and constructions.
