Udaipur Raises DLC Rates by Up to 40% and Stamp Duty Surcharge

Udaipur increased District Level Committee rates by 2% to 40% and raised the stamp duty surcharge by 3%, increasing property registration costs.

Udaipur’s revised DLC rates, implemented through the state government’s e-registration portal, rose 2% to 40% across the district after a flat 10% increase in April. The revision followed a district administration and registration department survey.
- Dabok Airport Road, Balicha, Titardi, Pratap Nagar, Kavita, Madar, Iswal, Ambavgarh Extension, Sisarma, Kodiyat, Sethji ki Kundal, Debari and Umarda: 25%–40% increase.
- Shobhagpura, Bhuwana Main Road, 100 Feet Road, Sukher, New Navratna, Panchvati, Fatehpura, Hiran Magri Sectors 3–14, Savina Main Road and Govardhan Vilas: 15%–30%.
- Chandpol, Hathipol, Jagdish Chowk, Ghantaghar and qualifying narrow commercial roads: 10%–15%.
- Listed rural towns and tehsil headquarters: 5%–10%; Wada and Dhikli: 15%; Jhadol and Falasiya: 5%–10%; Kotda: 2%–15%. Commercial property in these special rural and tribal areas rises 10%.
No increase applies to interior areas without 60–100-foot roads, the 17 Walled City wards, residential rates in the other 53 wards, or agricultural market areas in Bhuwana and Sawina. Commercial rates rise 10% in the other 53 wards. The stamp duty surcharge rises 3%. A 1,000-square-metre plot’s additional stamp duty averages ₹15,000 for a 5% rate increase and reaches ₹45,000 at 15%. Farmhouse registration is valued at three times agricultural rates; resorts at 75% of the area’s commercial rate. Home-loan document registration charges fall from 1% to 0.5%, capped at ₹1 lakh.
