Project Cancellation Rocks Home Buyers
Supertech's Upcountry Project Cancelled by YIDA
In a shocking turn of events, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) has cancelled Supertech's ready-to-move-in project, Upcountry, due to the submission of forged papers. According to a report in the Times of India, two successive CEOs of YIDA have highlighted that Supertech builder had submitted a revised plan with a forged letter, prompting the suggestion of lodging an FIR against the builder.
The Case Unfolds
- Original Plan (2010): Supertech was sanctioned to build its Upcountry project spanning 100 acres on the Yamuna expressway.
- Revised Plan (2011): A submitted revision plan showed an allotment letter, allegedly from UP Government Secretary Alok Kumar's office, granting permission for an additional 15 acres of land.
- Audit and Confirmation: Following an audit and confirmation from the UP Joint Secretary, YIDA discovered that the revision plan letter was, in fact, a forged document.
