Noida Authority's Diwali Bonanza: Affordable Flats for All
In a move to make housing more accessible, the Noida Authority is gearing up to allot approximately 900 flats across various sectors of Noida at rates lower than the current market prices, just in time for Diwali.
Identification and Allocation Process
- Selected Sectors: About 700 flats in Sectors 55, 56, 71, 93, and 135 have been earmarked for this project.
- Target Groups: These flats are primarily aimed at the Low Income Group (LIG) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of society.
- Survey for Unused Flats: The authority has been conducting a survey for the past month to identify flats that have remained vacant for years.
Pricing and Application Details
- Cost Calculation: The finance department is tasked with determining the costs of these flats, which are anticipated to be more affordable than prevailing market rates.
- Application Process: The date for the sale of application forms will be announced soon, with the allotment of flats to be conducted through lucky draws on Diwali.
Breakdown of Available Flats
- EWS & LIG Flats: Predominantly available, catering to the housing needs of the economically weaker sections.
- MIG & HIG Flats: A smaller number of Middle and High Income Group flats are also up for allotment.
Additional Development
- Commercial Launch: Simultaneously, the Noida Authority plans to launch 501 properties for commercial purposes in Sector 69.
- Previous Schemes: This initiative marks a significant return to flat schemes for the authority, with the last such project dating back to 2006-2007.
