Haryana Urban Development Authority Announces New Residential Sectors Across the State
The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is embarking on an ambitious project to establish new residential sectors in twelve cities across Haryana. These cities include Jhajjar, Jind, Hisar, Sirsa, Kaithal, Rohtak, Rewari, Sonepat, Fetehabad, Guhla-Cheeka, Karnal, and Pataudi. This initiative aims to significantly expand housing options for the people of Haryana, addressing the growing need for residential properties.
Land Allotment for Ex-Servicemen
In a landmark move, HUDA has allocated land for the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme at significantly reduced rates. This initiative, implemented for the first time, is designed to benefit ex-servicemen in various cities, including Faridabad, Rewari, Jind, Narnaul, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Sonepat, Rohtak, Panipat, and Jhajjar. An official spokesperson confirmed the development on Sunday.
Dedicated Housing for Defence Personnel
During the 2007-08 financial year, HUDA launched Sector 4 (Part) in Rohtak and Sector 6 in Jhajjar exclusively for defence personnel and paramilitary forces, offering 1998 plots. Furthermore, HUDA has decided to develop dedicated sectors solely for ex-servicemen and defence personnel in several locations. These locations encompass Bahadurgarh Sector 10, Jind Sector 6, Hisar Sector 3, Rewari Sector 18, and Narnaul.
Infrastructure Development
To bolster infrastructure, HUDA has initiated the development of 10 hospital sites and 23 petrol pump sites under the current government's tenure. This infrastructure push also includes the allocation of 169 institutional sites. In addition to these developments, HUDA has also introduced a substantial number of residential and other plots. This includes 14,141 freehold residential plots of varying sizes, 2,069 plots for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and 321 plots of 0.5 acres each designated for Group Housing projects.
