Amanora Park Town to Unveil 'Temple of Environment'
Amanora Park Town, Maharashtra's first government-sanctioned township, is setting a new precedent in environmental conservation. The township is nearing completion of its unique 'Temple of Environment', scheduled to be unveiled on World Environment Day (June 5th), according to Mr. Aniruddha Deshpande, Managing Director of City Corporation Ltd.
A Symbol of Conservation
The temple is an 18-foot-tall prism constructed from granite and glass, mounted within a specially designed water body. Its apex, made of glass, will house a 4.5-foot-high, 50 kg golden tree, crafted by renowned city jewelry house PNG, symbolizing environmental consciousness.
Located in a Lush Green Space
This open-air temple is situated within the township's sprawling 26-acre Central Green Garden, one of Maharashtra's largest private gardens. This location enhances its integration with its overall message. The project highlights the efforts made by Amanora towards sustainability.

The management of Amanora Park Town has initiated the process of registering this unique project with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), seeking international recognition for their initiative. It is being developed by City Corporation Ltd. Amanora Park Town stands as the first completed township project in Maharashtra under the state government's special Township Policy.
