UP-RERA to Issue Show-Cause Notice to Supertech Realtors
The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) is preparing to issue a show-cause notice to Supertech Realtors. This notice pertains to their non-compliance with Section 5 (1) of the RERA Act. According to the notice, the developer must provide a rationale on why their application for the registration of Golf Country GH01 Phase 1A and Golfland GH01 Phase-1B should be accepted and not rejected.
Complaints Against Supertech Realtors
A total of 2,454 complaints have been filed against the developer and its subsidiaries. Out of these, 1,629 cases have been resolved, while 105 and 1,243 are pending as refund and possession orders, respectively. Notably, home buyers have lodged a high number of complaints against the developer due to non-compliance with several of the authority’s directives.
Unfinished Projects
Supertech has registered 36 projects; however, the builder has shown minimal intent in completing these incomplete projects. There are approximately 20 projects for which the registration period has expired, and construction remains incomplete.
Out of these 20 projects:
- 5 projects did not receive registration because the developer failed to pay the penalty.
- 13 projects have not had their registration applications submitted to the authority.
Forensic Audit and Non-Compliance
In September 2020, UP-RERA decided to conduct a forensic audit of Supernova Phase I, II, III, and IV projects by the Supertech group. Nonetheless, the developer did not cooperate with the auditor, which is a violation of RERA orders.
