Noida Police attaches 56 illegally constructed flats in Shahberi

In a recent operation, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police reported the attachment of 56 apartments, which were illegally constructed by a private company. These flats, situated in Shahberi, Greater Noida, possess an estimated worth of ₹22.40 Cr. Officials stated that the legal action against Satyam Real Builders Private Limited comes after a court order connected to a case that was filed against the group back in 2019 at Bisrakh Police Station.

The legal proceedings initiated against a group, including Harish, Rohit, and Vikas Chaudhary, pertain to the confiscation of their assets in accordance with section 14 of the Gangsters Act.

Flats Constructed on Agricultural Land

The district police, acting on a court directive, proceeded to seize 56 of these apartments. According to a police spokesperson, these apartments or flats are valued at ₹22.40 crore.

The defendants reportedly utilized agricultural land located in Shahberi for the unlawful construction of multi-story buildings and residences. Without obtaining the necessary approvals for land-use conversion, they commenced construction. Furthermore, construction was done without securing floor plan approvals or certifications from the relevant local authorities. These apartments were fraudulently sold to unsuspecting buyers, and the group profited illegally from these transactions.

The case at Bisrakh police station encompasses several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including section 420 which deals with cheating, section 188 addressing disobedience to government orders, and sections 471, 467, and 468 concerning the falsification of documents. Additionally, charges were filed under the Gangsters Act, among other offenses.

Authorities have reported that the Gautam Buddh Nagar police have, to date, identified illegal properties valued at ₹130 crore belonging to individuals involved in organized crime.
