In a significant ruling, the Madras High Court has placed a stay on the construction activities of a shopping mall project initiated by DLF in Chennai. Furthermore, the court has ordered the leading real estate developer to remove all temporary structures that were set up at the site. The decision followed a petition submitted by industrialist Rajiv Ray, who sought judicial intervention to prevent DLF from continuing with the mall's construction at Ethiraj Salai in Chennai.
