Unitech Ltd is gearing up to introduce a significant mid-income residential project comprising 1,200 square feet homes in Greater Noida. Concurrently, the NKID initiative, a major infrastructure development located near Kolkata, is being undertaken by a consortium which includes Unitech holding 40%, along with Salim Group, also holding 40%, and Indonesia's Universal Success holding the remaining 20%. This expansive project covers a substantial area of 37,830 acres, with the government having transferred 13,457 acres, which accounts for 35% of the total, specifically for development. Notably, the recent handover includes 12,500 acres allocated for a Chemical Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at a price of Rs. 2,750 per square foot, highlighting the potential demand in the area. Following this, Unitech plans to unveil additional residential projects in Chennai and Hyderabad in the near future. Furthermore, the firm is actively acquiring more land parcels in Mumbai as part of a slum rehabilitation initiative, with disclosure expected once all formalities are completed.
