Amity University and RICS Launch Realty Institute to Address Skills Shortage

In collaboration with RICS, Amity University launches realty institute.

Are you uncertain about your future educational pursuits? Is selecting the right course proving to be a challenge? The increasing number of courses available can feel overwhelming. Adding to the diverse academic landscape, Amity University, in partnership with RICS, has introduced a wide array of programs focused on the real estate sector.

New Programs Offered

Amity University's new realty institute, RICS School of Built Environment, will offer a variety of degree programs centered around real estate. These programs, located in Noida, include both two and three-year options.

  • Two-Year Programs: BBA in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure, MBA in Construction Project Management, and MBA in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure.

In addition to degree programs, the RICS School of Built Environment will also conduct training and management development initiatives. These new courses are designed to tackle the shortage of qualified professionals within the construction industry, along with addressing skill gaps in associated fields such as real estate development, infrastructure, and related services.

Leadership and Vision

The institution is helmed by Prof. KT Ravindran, appointed Dean of the RICS School of Built Environment. Prof. Ravindran brings with him over three decades of experience in education, previously serving as the dean of the School of Planning and Architecture and making significant contributions as chairman of the Delhi Urban Arts Commission.

This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Urban Development, indicative of its importance in addressing industry needs. The school is envisioned to be a bridge between academic learning and the professional skills demanded by the dynamic built environment sectors.

Inauguration and Ministerial Remarks

Union Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath inaugurated the Built Environment institute. During the inauguration, the minister remarked, "This endeavor by Amity University is a benchmark in the field of education." The new programs launched by the institute are expected to equip future professionals with the necessary expertise to excel in the real estate and construction sectors.
