Invest India Tour London 2008 Showcases India's Real Estate Potential
Cento International Investments, a UK-based real estate consultancy, has orchestrated the 'Invest India Tour London 2008' to highlight the significant investment opportunities within India's real estate sector. This initiative aims to connect Indian real estate developers with potential investors from the UK.
A Collaborative Effort to Promote India
Cento has partnered with Baron Group International, a UK-based property investment firm, and E-eighteen, the marketing arm of Network Eighteen, to organize this tour. The collaborators believe this event will create a valuable platform for interaction between Indian developers and foreign investors, promoting India as an attractive investment destination. The tour seeks to position India as a highly profitable hub for real estate investment.
Tapping into the Untapped UK Market
Baron Group Managing Director, Nayan Bavishi, highlighted the vast untapped potential of the UK investor market, stating that the UK, with its fifteen million residents, represents a significant pool of untapped investors for Indian real estate.
Bavishi elaborated on the existing roadshows conducted by Indian developers in the UK, noting their limitations. "There are a number of road shows that happen with developers from India going to the UK. But these road-shows are limited to targeting NRIs who are 2.5 million in number in U K, which has a population of fifteen million”.
Addressing Investor Concerns about the Indian Market
Bavishi explained that UK investors, already active in markets like Spain, Portugal, the Caribbean, and Dubai, are increasingly viewing India as a promising investment destination. However, they exhibit hesitation due to a lack of familiarity with the Indian market. "These investors from UK have already invested in markets like Spain, Portugal, Carribean and Dubai and are looking at India as a potential for investment. But they are skeptical of doing so because they do not have knowledge of the market in the country”. He further emphasized the need for a comprehensive, end-to-end service for these investors. He added that these investors need someone who has the whole chain covered for them.
