Electoral Bonds Data
According to data compiled by the State Bank of India and released by the Election Commission, the top 25 real estate developers donated a staggering Rs 630 crore to political parties through electoral bonds. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured the lion’s share, amassing Rs 314 crore.

DLF Group, along with its subsidiaries DLF Commercial Developers Ltd, DLF Luxury Homes Ltd, and DLF Garden City Indore Pvt Ltd, became the largest real estate developer donor to the BJP, contributing a total of Rs 180 crore between 2019 and 2023.

- Prestige Group and its subsidiaries: Donated over Rs 45 crore to Bharat Rashtra Samithi, Indian National Congress, and Bharatiya Janata Party in October 2019 and April-July 2023.
- K Raheja Corp Private Ltd: Gave Rs 21 crore to BJP, Shiv Sena, and Bharat Rashtra Samithi in April 2019 and October 2021.
- Anbee Constructions LLP: Associated with Mindspace Business Parks Real Estate Investment Trust, donated over Rs 10 crore to All India Congress Committee and Bharat Rashtra Samithi in October 2021 and January 2022.
Commercial Real Estate Donations
From January-July 2022 and January-November 2023, commercial real estate developers like LuLu India and Inorbit Malls gifted over Rs 22 crore to parties such as BJP, Indian National Congress, and Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
Electoral Bonds Scheme Beneficiaries
Data from the State Bank of India revealed that the Bharatiya Janata Party was the largest beneficiary, receiving Rs 6,061 crore over the last five years. This constitutes 48% of all electoral bonds cashed by political parties since 2019-20, before the scheme was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.
