Real estate need talent and skills

The demand for skilled and talented professionals to support the rapidly growing real estate industry has surged. "The Indian real estate sector is transitioning from a short-sprint mentality, preparing itself for the long-distance race of sustainable development," states Anuj Puri, chairman and country head of Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj, a prominent real estate money management and services firm.

Echoing this sentiment, Aniruddha Joshi, executive director of Hirco Group, notes, "The real estate sector is evolving beyond just basic bricks and mortar. Demand for real estate is rising in emerging segments such as retail, hospitality, healthcare, biotech, and ITES. In parallel, the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs), townships, and IT parks is fostering a need for skills that go beyond traditional areas like architecture, civil engineering, and electrical engineering. Specialized knowledge in infrastructure and urban planning is becoming crucial. Professionals with expertise in environmental issues are increasingly sought after, as both developers and consumers grow more aware of 'green' concerns."
