W J Towell, a prominent business group in Oman, has recently announced the establishment of joint ventures alongside three Indian firms, marking a significant advancement in real estate development within the Sultanate. The Indian entities involved in this collaboration are Piramal Group, Simplex Infrastructure Ltd, and Talati & Panthaky Associated Pvt Ltd.
Mr. Imad Sultan, who oversees Indian ventures for W J Towell, remarked, "The association with these companies will bring a new level of interest and expertise to the fore in all constructions and real estate activities." Founded in 1866, W J Towell has long been at the forefront of property development in Oman, with current leadership under Hussain Jawad.
Ajay Piramal, the Chairman of Piramal Group, expressed that they are actively seeking opportunities for real estate development in Oman, which may encompass both residential and tourism ventures. Furthermore, Mr. Ivor Braganza, CEO of Talati & Panthaky, stated, "The new alliance will undoubtedly add significant value to the tremendous progress of Towell’s construction and infrastructure projects, to the benefit of all of us within the Sultanate."
During the announcement, Indian Ambassador to the Sultanate, Anil Wadhwa, emphasized that this joint venture among Indian giants and W J Towell in Oman is certain to enhance and nurture the existing strong Indo-Omani relations.
