A survey conducted by the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) has highlighted India as a leading choice for property investments among global foreign investors. This information comes from the January/February 2008 issue of the AFIRE newsletter. According to the findings, 16.7 percent of respondents identified India as their most favored destination for real estate ventures. While the United States retains its position as the top-ranked country for investors, both China and India have secured significant places, ranking second and third respectively. Notably, when comparing this data to 2006, it’s clear that China has made remarkable strides in enhancing its standing among investors, showcasing an improvement of seven percentage points. Conversely, India experienced a minor decline, slipping nearly two points. Further emphasizing India's appeal, JP Morgan, one of the largest investment banks in the United States, has announced plans to invest a hefty sum of 1,500 Crores in various real estate projects throughout the country.
