Safexpress investing in 32 logistics parks

Safexpress has announced an ambitious plan to invest approximately Rs 600 crore over the next two years, with the goal of launching a total of 32 logistics parks. This major expansion initiative aims to double the company's warehousing capacity to around ten million square feet.

Mr. Vineet Kanaujia, the General Manager of Marketing at Safexpress, stated, "The expansion will help the company reach revenue of around Rs 1,000 crore in the next two years from Rs 650 crore." This indicates a determined push for growth and increased market presence.

Significantly, nearly one third of this new investment is earmarked for the South region, reflecting the company's strategic focus on this area.

The unveiling of the new logistics park in Chennai occurred during Logistics 2009, a two-day seminar dedicated to logistics, which was organized by the CII Institute of Logistics. This event marked an important milestone in Safexpress’s growth trajectory.

Notably, Safexpress has already invested Rs 35 crore in a facility measuring 3.86 lakh square feet, situated at Vanagaram on the NH-5. The newly established park boasts the capability to manage the loading and unloading of 134 vehicles simultaneously, thus ensuring seamless and uninterrupted movement of goods, as mentioned by Mr. Kanaujia during discussions at the seminar.
