Mahindra and Mahindra Limited Will Invest In Real Estate And It Sector

Mahindra & Mahindra Eyes West Bengal for Real Estate and IT Investments

Kolkata: While optimistic about investment prospects in West Bengal, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M) currently has no immediate plans to invest in the state through its established automotive brands. Instead, the company is considering focusing its investment efforts on the real estate and IT sectors, according to Mr. Anand Mahindra, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of M&M.

Speaking at a program organized by the Ladies Study Group at a city hotel, Mr. Mahindra elaborated on the company's investment strategy for the region. "Investment in IT and real estate through our group companies like Mahindra Life Space and Mahindra World City will probably be our flagship ventures in the state," he stated.

Mahindra Life Space primarily develops residential projects, while Mahindra World City Developers Limited concentrates on establishing Special Economic Zones (SEZs). This strategic focus suggests that M&M is looking to capitalize on the growing demand for both residential and commercial spaces in West Bengal. The company's decision to prioritize these sectors indicates a belief in the state's potential for growth in these areas.
