Ginger Hotels Group Plans To Launch 60 to 70 Properties In India

In a recent interview with Financial Chronicle, Prabhat Pani, the CEO of Ginger Hotels, announced ambitious plans for the expansion of the Ginger Hotels brand across India. Over the next three to four years, the hotel group aims to inaugurate between 60 to 70 properties. Notably, the company has opted for a strategic approach involving the refurbishment of existing hotels, rather than acquiring new land for fresh developments.

To date, the investment put forth for the Indian expansion effort has reached approximately Rs 250 Crores. This expansion includes the group’s first property in Delhi, marking its 13th Indian location, which represents a pioneering collaboration with a government entity such as the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The newly launched Ginger Rail Yatri Niwas, an enhanced version of a pre-existing establishment, has been initiated under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

In the northern region of India, Ginger Hotels is actively developing a new property located in Ludhiana, constructed on the fourth and fifth floors of an existing shopping mall. The company is in the process of refining its business model to accommodate future growth. Additionally, Ginger Hotels aims to extend its reach into emerging markets such as Lucknow, Faridabad, Ajmer, Noida, Baddi, Kota, Bhilwara, Jodhpur, and Gurgaon, among others. However, when asked about potential international developments, Pani chose not to provide any comments.
