Gurugram police and district administration demolished illegal structures linked to gangster Kaushal Chaudhary in Naharpur Rupa village on Wednesday, reclaiming around 1,500 square yards of Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran land valued at nearly ₹50 crore. Police said the land was allegedly occupied at Chaudhary’s behest and that money was used to fund criminal activities. Chaudhary, 45, has 37 criminal cases registered against him, including murder, robbery, extortion and ransom; he is jailed and implicated in the murders of Harjeet Kaur and her bodyguard Karanveer Singh in Punjab. Police also demolished drug trafficker Bhajan Lal alias Gajepal’s illegal property in Fazilpur Jharsa. Officials said the actions target illegal properties linked to organised crime and would continue across Haryana.
