Tiruppur Ring Road Railway Flyover Expected Ready by March-end

The State Highways Department says the railway flyover on Tiruppur’s ring road is 90% complete, with concrete work finished and minor work remaining on the Velampalayam route. Completion is expected by the end of March. The 1.04-kilometre flyover crosses the railway track and Noyyal River near College Road in Anaipalayam. Its cost rose from ₹19.78 crore to ₹45 crore. Construction began in 2006; work resumed in 2017 after a favourable court verdict, then was interrupted in 2024 to relocate pipeline works. Once open, vehicles will be able to travel between Avinashi Road and Mangalam Road via Velampalayam and Sirupooluvapatti without entering the city, easing congestion.
