The Kazipet Railway Station, an important junction on the Secunderabad-Balharshah railway line, is slated for a comprehensive upgrade as part of the Amrit Bharat Scheme.

The Collector inspected a proposed site for a new bus station in Kazipet and visited the current bus stand where RTC buses to Hyderabad operate on the main road.

Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy demanded local youth be given priority in recruitment at the upcoming Kazipet Railway Coach Factory. MLA participated in padayatra organized by Railway Joint Action Committee (JAC) and public organizations from Madikonda to Kazipet Railway Junction supporting local employment demand. Coach factory expected to create nearly 3,000 jobs. MLA urged authorities to accord first preference to eligible local youth during recruitment and sought reservation of jobs for local candidates. MLA also sought skill development training for unemployed youth lacking required qualifications and priority recruitment for families that lost land for the project. Called on all political parties to support Railway JAC's demand and continue movement united. MLA said Central government should ensure justice for local people and make factory catalyst for regional development. Railway JAC leaders, public organization representatives, Congress leaders and party workers participated.

Warangal MP Dr Kadiam Kavya met South Central Railway general manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava and Secunderabad divisional railway manager Dr R. Gopalakrishnan at Rail Nilayam to expedite land transfer for a proposed bus stand at Kazipet signal junction.

Railway ministry proposed transfer of railway land at Kazipet signal junction in exchange for state government land of equivalent value on June 4, 2025. Process has progressed slowly more than a year later.

State government identified suitable land in Warangal-Hanamkonda region for exchange. MP requested joint site inspection by railway and revenue officials to complete formalities and expedite the process.

Proposed facility near Kazipet Railway Station and national highway would improve public transport in Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet region and manage passenger traffic and connectivity.

Congress MP Kadiyam Kavya met South Central Railway General Manager Arun Kumar Jain on April 23, 2025, to address issues at Kazipet Junction.

Staffing shortage: Current employee strength at Kazipet is 529 against sanctioned 709 posts, creating a shortfall of 180. Railway sanctioned 184 new posts for Kazipet loco running station but allotted all to Vijayawada loco running depot, which already has 589 employees.

Crew link transfers: MP expressed concern over proposed transfer of Krishna, LTT, Konark, and Gautami Express crew links from Kazipet to Vijayawada depot, which would violate a promise made in July 14, 2022 Joint Committee meeting.

Other requests: Bus stand development in Kazipet with sites already evaluated; expedited development of Warangal and Kazipet stations under Amrit Bharat scheme to meet project timelines; resolution of Kazipet Railway Union concerns.

Response: SCR General Manager promised constructive action and agreed to meet the railway union within three days. Khammam MP R. Raghuram Reddy and Nalgonda MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy also attended the meeting.
