• Kalaburagi district recorded 89.8% property tax recovery, the highest district-level recovery in nine years.

• Collections rose to Rs 25.8 crore in 2024-25 and Rs 33.4 crore as of March 31, 2025-26.
• Of 261 gram panchayats, 71 achieved 100% collection and more than 90 crossed the 90% mark.
• Officials said the improvement followed a strict push by zilla panchayat CEO Bhanwar Singh Meena.
• Some PDOs were suspended and pay increments of 18 PDOs were withheld for poor collection.
