The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) masterplan 2041 covers six Uttar Pradesh districts: Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura, and Agra, with a Draft Master Plan 2031 for Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahar in Delhi NCR.

Noida International Airport (Jewar): Located in Jewar, Gautam Budh Nagar. Expected to begin commercial operations June 15. Starting with 12 million passengers annually, proposed to expand to 70 million by 2050.

Airport City: India's largest integrated airport city covering 6,554 hectares around Sectors 7, 8, 9, 29, and 32. Will house business zones, logistics, commercial spaces, hospitality, recreational facilities.

Medical Device Park: Sector 28, YEIDA. Spanning 350 acres, north India's first dedicated medical device park.

Olympic City: Modern Olympic City and Olympic Village with 29 stadiums and nearly 5,500 lodging/housing units spanning 5,000 hectares in Noida.

International Film City: Sector 21, 15 minutes from Jewar Airport. Nearly 1,000 acres for film studios, production facilities, cultural attractions.

Pod Taxi (PRT System): Personal Rapid Transit system connecting Film City with Jewar Airport, carrying 4-6 passengers per pod.

Logistics Park: Multimodal Logistics Park at Tappal Bajna, Aligarh district. Storage and warehousing hub for international airport.

International Investment Zones: 'Japan City' and 'Singapore City' around 500 acres each in Sector 5A and Sector 7 of Greater Noida.

Heritage City: Proposed on Yamuna banks in Mathura for cultural and spiritual tourism, including ashrams, riverfront parks, halls, lakes, handicraft markets.

District magistrate Medha Roopam chaired a district flood committee meeting to review monsoon preparedness across departments. All departments directed to submit detailed action plans for flood response. Villages along Yamuna floodplain identified as most vulnerable: Jewar, Dankaur, Bisrakh, plus low-lying sectors 135 and 150. Health and emergency response systems on alert with rapid response teams, medical staff and ambulances to deploy in vulnerable areas. Administration directed to map cattle shelters in flood-prone zones, ensure fodder availability, identify temporary relocation spaces, and prepare agriculture mitigation plans to minimise crop damage. Authorities directed to act against illegal encroachments and unsafe activities in notified areas that could aggravate disaster risks. Administration flagged gaps in early warning systems and on-ground readiness.

Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted Aerodrome License to Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) for Noida International Airport (NIA) at Jewar, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

Developed by YIAPL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, under PPP model with Governments of Uttar Pradesh and India. Concession commenced 1 October 2021 for 40 years.

Licensed for Public Use, all-weather operations, domestic flights and cargo. Runway 10/28 orientation, 3,900 m × 45 m, with Instrument Landing System (ILS) and Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) enabling 24×7 operations. 24 Code C and 2 Code D/F aircraft parking stands. ARFF Category 9 facilities for wide-body aircraft including Boeing 777-300ER.

Phase 1 spread over 1,300 hectares: one runway, one terminal, capacity 12 million passengers annually. All four phases: capacity up to 70 million passengers per year.

Originally scheduled for passenger services September 2024.

Swiss President Guy Parmelin will visit Noida International Airport on October 6 during his state visit to India from October 5 to 7. He will review the terminal, business facilities and cargo terminal, accompanied by senior officials and business leaders. The airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG. A delegation-level meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled for October 5; President Droupadi Murmu will also meet Parmelin and host a banquet. His visit is expected to encourage bilateral economic and trade cooperation, investment and collaboration. Parmelin previously visited India for the AI Impact Summit in Delhi in February. The airport at Jewar began passenger operations on June 15, 2026, with IndiGo’s first flight from Lucknow; cargo operations started June 17. International flights are expected from December 2026.

Noida International Airport Phase 1 at Jewar was inaugurated on March 28, 2026; it is designed for 70 million passengers annually at full capacity. After the inauguration announcement, Yamuna Expressway residential queries rose 56% and commercial demand 75%. From 2020 to 2025, corridor apartment prices increased 158%, from ₹3,950 to about ₹10,200 per sq ft; plot prices rose 536%, from ₹1,650 to ₹10,500. Land near Jewar doubled in price since 2019. YEIDA sectors 18, 20, 22D and 32 recorded the NCR’s highest enquiry volumes in mid-2026. Film City is planned in Sector 21, alongside YEIDA Fintech City and an SEZ for Japanese and Korean manufacturers.

Noida rates range from ₹7,950 to ₹14,500 per sq ft in 2026; sectors 74, 150, 94 and the Expressway belt recorded annual appreciation of 10–24%. Sector 77 rose 14.5% in a year; Sector 150 rents climbed 12% year-on-year. Greater Noida West appreciated about 98% in five years, reaching about ₹8,450 per sq ft by end-2024, with around 24% annual growth. Employers include Barclays, Infosys, HCL and Wipro; sectors 62, 63, 132, 137 and 143 are commercial corridors.
