Karnataka Targets December Completion of Tunga Water Lift to Bhadra

Karnataka has prioritised the Upper Bhadra Project and aims to lift 17 TMC of Tunga River water to Bhadra reservoir by December.

Water resources minister N Cheluvarayaswamy said the state has given top priority to the Upper Bhadra Project and will complete lifting 17 TMC of water from the Tunga River to Bhadra reservoir by December. He said work was progressing as scheduled while speaking at a check dam near Adiral village in Hiriyur taluk, Chitradurga district. Deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar is scheduled to visit Chitradurga on September 24.
