GDA is spending ₹9.78 crore to redevelop a 1.5-kilometre Ghaziabad stretch with U-turns, road widening, slip roads and pedestrian improvements.

Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is redeveloping the 1.5-kilometre route from Seth Mukundlal Chowk via Thakurdwara Tiraha to MMG Hospital for an estimated ₹9.78 crore. City MLA Sanjeev Sharma laid the foundation stone on Saturday.
The works include back-to-back and single U-turns, including one about 200 metres ahead of Seth Mukundlal Chowk, one providing access to Navayug Market and another near Delhi Gate. A 12-metre-wide slip road will be built, and major intersections and junctions will be made signal-free.
The project also covers road widening, modern footpaths, streetlights, road markings, table-top speed breakers, green-belt improvements and strengthening and beautification of link roads connecting Hapur Road and MMG Hospital.
