Residents said the previous AOA had managed the society for about three years. They alleged that it was not handed over charge after another group won the election and that a case reached the High Court on the basis of false evidence. The previous AOA was restored to charge following a High Court order a few days earlier; the order directed that the decision be displayed on every tower’s noticeboard. Residents warned they would continue protesting if their demands were not met. Nikhil Singhal said the AOA had made no improper decision and that the previous AOA returned only in compliance with the court order.
