Key facts
The 48.2 metres long link bridge between Chikkadpally and Domalguda was inaugurated on Friday, January 2, 2026 by Hyderabad in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. Built by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) over Hussain Sagar surplus nala at a cost of ₹6 crore. The bridge provides a direct link between City Central Library, Ashok Nagar, and AV College, Gaganmahal. Travel time from Chikkadpally to Ashok Nagar and Domalguda, and further towards Liberty Junction, GHMC Head Office and the Secretariat, is expected to be reduced by nearly half.
