MMRDA has submitted Metro Route 13’s detailed project report to the Maharashtra government for approval, advancing a 25.03-km corridor linking Mira-Bhayandar and Vasai-Virar.

Key facts

MMRDA Commissioner Sanjay Mukherjee submitted Metro Route 13’s detailed project report and cabinet remarks to the Maharashtra government for approval. The proposal, prepared by consultant Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, has been approved at an MMRDA authority meeting.

The corridor will cover 25.03 km, including 3.25 km underground and 21.78 km elevated, with 16 stations. A maintenance depot is planned at Chikhaldongri in Virar. A combined metro and six-lane road bridge is planned over Vasai Creek.
