BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri and BJP MLAs Paidi Rakesh Reddy and Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta sought to locate the new Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) in Nizamabad urban or Armoor constituencies. Dharmapuri backed Kaligot village in Jakranpally mandal, within Congress MLA R. Bhupathi Reddy’s rural constituency, citing 30 acres of government land and proximity to National Highway 44.

Congress MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy proposed Achanpally in Bodhan town, where land is available at the Nizam Sugar Factory. The Ministry of Human Resource Development reserved its decision pending further review. BJP activists burned an effigy of Sudarshan Reddy, accusing him of diverting the school from Jakranpally. The Central government recently sanctioned seven new JNVs in Telangana, including for underserved Nizamabad and Jagtial districts.
