Mandla Gets ₹460 Crore Development Package Alongside Forest Bonuses

Madhya Pradesh announced ₹460 crore in Mandla development works and distributed forest-produce bonuses to collectors and forest committee members.

On October 4, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred ₹36.17 crore in 2024 tendu-leaf bonuses to 9,04,126 collectors across eight forest divisions. More than 21 lakh collectors statewide are to receive over ₹139 crore. In Mandla, ₹26.56 crore in timber dividends went to around 40,000 members of 84 forest committees.
Yadav launched or initiated 74 Mandla development works worth about ₹460 crore: 47 projects worth over ₹263 crore received foundation stones, while 27 completed works worth over ₹197 crore were inaugurated. Foundation-stone projects include 19 government high school buildings costing ₹75.28 crore, an integrated Collectorate building costing ₹33.92 crore, a nursing college building costing ₹14.80 crore and a Tribal Multipurpose Marketing Centre costing ₹1 crore. Four Sandipani School buildings in Niwas, Bichhiya, Ghutas and Sagar were inaugurated at a combined cost of ₹137.11 crore.
Government colleges were announced for Mohgaon and Ghughri, along with a minor forest-produce processing unit, tiger safari zoo, revived betel-leaf cultivation and dairy cooperatives in Mandla.
