Survey Park - Santoshpur area of Kolkata since past 10 years. When I bought this apartment this area was still inaccessible in many ways. However, it the last 10 years it has witnessed unprecedented development. E.M.Bypass was just a two lane thoroughfare but now its becoming 8 lane with walkways and cycling tracks. I never thought I'll be ever so close to a metro station but now it looks like a reality - not one but two metro stations will be just 2-5 mins walk from my flat. Big multinational store like Metro Cash & Carry is just 2 mins, Highland Park Metropolis Mall is 5 - 10 mins walk and Spencer's at Avishar Complex is just 2 mins ride, Major reputed hospitals are at a throw away distance. High rises are coming up on the bypass. Jadavpur Stadium is just 2 mins walk, and now, walk ways have been newly laid on the main road of Survey Park, Kali temple is another attraction close by to celebrate Durga Puja. Besides, there are lots of banks, bakeries and sweet shops in and around Survey Park.
