This place is the Hub of a sprawling Structural Engineering estate of numerous ancillary industries that support BHEL, Ordnance Factory, Railway workshop and similar industries across the country.
Renowned educational Institutions like NIT, Govt. Polytechnic, Govt Arts College, Food Craft Institute, Irrigation Management Institute, Welding Research Institute etc along with numerous schools.
Water bodies, Municipal supply are available in all parts regularly .
Known for cosmopolitan living in peaceful surroundings.
Markets and shopping areas are many.
Best part is the 24hrs bus availability to Trichy Bus stand, Chathram bus stand and Thanjavur.
